ST. PAUL’S DARIEN, WELCOMES NEW

ASSOCIATE AND YOUTH LEADER

St. Paul’s Church in Darien is pleased to announce the arrival of Father Jordan Easley, new Associate and Youth Leader. Fr. Jordan, and his wife, Leah, arrived in December of 2010, and look forward to sharing friendship and faith with St. Paul’s congregation, and all of wider Fairfield County.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Fr. Easley is a recent graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, in Boston, MA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wheaton College in Chicago, IL (where he also met his wife).

In addition to regular teaching and preaching at St. Paul’s, Jordan will be focusing his ministry on children, youth, and families.

“My youth pastor in Memphis helped me figure out who I am,” says Fr. Easley. “He taught me how to serve others and how to lead others. He helped me confirm God’s call on my life. I’ve been working with youth ever since I was a youth, and now I have the opportunity to offer that same help to any student who walks through our doors. This is such a privilege and a blessing.”

“The departure last summer of our former Associate Rector, Fr. Dan Morgan, left a hole in the hearts of all in the congregation, and in the leadership of the church,” says Father Christopher Leighton, St. Paul’s Rector. “Father Easley has eased into that role and in a short time become a leader, a fellow disciple, and beloved brother at our church. We are truly blessed to have Leah and Jordan among us, and we look forward to what God has planned for St. Paul’s in 2011, and beyond.”

Fr. Easley is particularly interested in growing the St. Paul’s youth group, and creating opportunities for all of the youths in the area to have fun, create lasting friendships and receive mentoring and small group discipleship in Christ. St. Paul’s church welcomes age-appropriate children from throughout Fairfield County to upcoming Youth Group activities, where fun and faith are shared equally. Announcements will follow.
