January 2004 Updates



1/28/04 On the Weekly Bulletin Page, I updated the section on Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. I added a new article, and a link to find local participating theaters. Also, I have some great news-- it's coming to Greenwich and Stamford!


1/26/04 On the Links Page, I added a link to the web site for the new Network of Anglican Communion Dioceses and Parishes.


1/18/04 We now have audio files -- Real Audio and Windows Media -- of our 12/18/2003 meeting with Bishop Smith. Look on the Weekly Bulletin Page. (We added the print version several days ago.)


1/16/04 I added a link to the new movie Thérèse (The Story of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.) It's on the Links Page, in the Popular Arts: Film and Television section.


1/15/04 I added a transcript to our 12/18/2003 congregational meeting with Bishop Andrew Smith. It's on both the Articles Page and the Weekly Bulletin Page.


1/14/04 On the Links Page I added a link to AnglicanMainstream.net (It's in the Anglican Section)

Also on the Links Page, I added a new Plays and Musicals subsection to Popular Arts. I moved the links to Hero, the Rock Opera and Oberammergau Passion Play to this new subsection.

On the Weekly Bulletin Page, I added links to new articles about Mel Gibson's upcoming film, The Passion of the Christ.



1/9/04 On the Links Page I added a link to HeroUniverse.com, the web site for Hero, the Christian Rock Opera. (It's in the Popular Arts: Music section.)

December 2003 Updates



12/30/03 On the Weekly Bulletin Page I updated the section on Mel Gibson's movie The Passion of the Christ. On the same page, I also added a summary of The Purpose Driven Life (chapters 6 and 7), and added a link so people can write an online review of the book for Amazon.com.


12/05/03 The Advent, Christmas and Epiphany links are now visible on the Links Page. (I have also added more links to this section.)


12/05/03 Updated the section on the new Mel Gibson film The Passion of the Christ on both the Weekly Bulletin Page and the Links Page. You'll see a link to the movie's new official site-- it's still under construction, but is nevertheless very compelling. (They are maintaining the old site as a fan site.)


12/05/03 Updated the Services Page with the Christmas Service schedule and the new Sunday Evening service.

 



 

October 2003 Updates



10/11/03 Added some more links to recent newspaper articles concerning the ECUSA General Convention. You will find them on the Weekly Bulletin Page.


10/10/03 The Missions Committee has completed its Mission Statement and Policy Document. It's on both the Ministries Page and the Weekly Bulletin Page


10/5/03 The October 4 2003 edition of The Hartford Courant featured this article called Episcopal Dissenters Taking A Stand A link to the article is also on the Weekly Bulletin Page




 

September 2003 Updates



9/28/03 Added a link to the website of Faith Inkubators. This company produces quality materials for Christian education. In celebration of the new Luther Movie, they are offering free Luther Study Guides for different age levels. You'll find this site in the Non-denominational Christian Sites section of the Links Page.



9/27/03 Added a link to the Bach Cantatas Website. You'll find it in the Fine Arts section of the Links Page.



9/27/03 Added a link to the site for the new Luther Movie. The movie opened on Sept. 26 on a limited number of screens. (Check the Luther movie site or www.moviefone.com to find a theater that is showing this film.) In addition to the trailer and production photos, the site features free study materials on Martin Luther-- even some very well done comic books! You will find this site on the Links Page, under Popular Arts: Film and Television



9/21/03 Added a link to the Jesus Film site. You can watch the entire film online! It's on the Links Page, under Popular Arts: Film and Television



9/18/03 On the Links Page, added a link to Bach Digital -- the website about Bach's autographs. Note: the term "Autograph" here means the original manuscript, written by the composer himself. You'll find this impressive site in the Fine Arts section of the Links Page.



9/18/03 Added a notice about our new 8:00 a.m.Traditional Service to the Home Page. (From the Home Page, click on the link to display the notice in a pop-up window.)



9/13/03 On the Links Page, added a link to the Gospel of John Movie Site. Gospel of John is a new film from Visual Bible International, Inc. of Canada, and is scheduled to be released this fall. The web site is very good, and has a trailer you can view.  (It's in the Popular Arts: Film and Television section of the Links Page.)



9/13/03 Uploaded St. Paul's first screen saver to this site. Everyone is welcome to download it. The theme is "Vacation Bible School 2003." It's on the Weekly Bulletin Page, and we have also provided detailed directions on downloading and installing it.



9/13/03 Updated the Services Page (since we are dropping the evening service after Oct 5, and we are adding an 8:00 am service on Sept 21).



9/6/03 Moved the What We Believe as Anglicans pdf to the Articles Page.
