Our Mission Statement:

St. Paul's Church is a fellowship called by God to be One Body in Christ with Jesus Christ as the Head. As part of His greater community of believers on earth, we seek to love and edify one another through sharing a corporate Faith, bearing one another's burdens, encouraging one another, and using the gifts He has given to each member for the benefit of all. In obedience to God and in His Spirit of unity, we embrace our need for confession, repentance, and reconciliation with each other, and with Him. Hearing God's Word in Joy, we desire "to know Christ and to make Him known." We acknowledge our passion for God by honoring the Bible as His inerrant Word, listening to the Holy Spirit speak in ways always consistent with His written Word, and studying and preaching the Living Word, Jesus Christ, in ways that foster intimacy and wholeness. Delighting ourselves in the Gospel of Christ, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and the fellowship of His disciples, we encourage the practical application of God's Word as our guide in the conduct of our daily lives. Doing God's Work in Love, we purpose "to obey Christ and to serve Him at all costs." Animated by the Holy Spirit, we affirm our compassion for others by introducing people to joyful worship and intimate prayer, by discipling them in the counsels of God, by caring for each other with practical action, and by fostering proper stewardship and appreciation for this Earth which He created in love. Finally, since God the Father, in His great love, sent His only Son to die on the cross to redeem humanity, we commit ourselves through missions and evangelism to share what Jesus Christ has given to us and seek to make disciples of all nations, beginning here in Darien.
