Meet the staff
The Rev. Christopher P. Leighton
Rector
Father Christopher joined St. Paul’s in October, 1998, as the church’s fourth Rector. He is a native of Boston, Massachusetts, and feels the fulfillment of a lifelong calling in coming “home” to New England to serve, as God revives His church.
A graduate of the first class at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in 1979, Fr. Christopher served four churches in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for fifteen years. Most recently, he was Rector of St. James’s Episcopal Church in Cambridge, Mass. from 1994 to 1998.
Fr. Christopher is married to Janet Dorman Leighton. They have four adult children.
The Rev. Daniel Morgan
Assistant Rector
Dan Morgan joined St. Paul’s in March of 1999. He is our Assistant Rector for Youth & Family Ministries. A lifelong Episcopalian, Father Dan received his seminary training at Trinity Episcopal School of Ministry and received his M.Div. in 1993. He formerly served on the New England Regional Staff for Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Studies (FOCUS).
Father Dan has primary oversight of a wide range of activities for Junior and Senior High students. He reaches out to Darien youth by working with the area Young Life group. Father Dan has led our youth to Creation Music Festivals, Inside Out Soul Festivals, Emmaeus weekends, retreats, campouts and other events. He organizes weekly youth fellowships and also assists in the sacramental life of our church.
Father Dan and his wife, Kristen, have three children.
